On my game design blog, I just posted about what it might take to kill Clash of Clans, analysing what I think is a particularly interesting new entrant, Gods of Olympus, in the battler space.
Now, I should say that Frenzoo is not in the midcore pvp market, our target market are middle aged women, not ultra competitive guys who want to fight their way to the top.
That said though, looking at their social design (the ability to easily support each other and bond) is excellent, and I found it very useful in the context of building a sticky community built not only on gameplay but also relationships.
